Every cleanser should accomplish three things; it should be able to effectively remove environmental pollutants and makeup, it should not over-strip the lipids or over-exfoliate the skin as both of those effects are damaging to the skin and lead to more inflammation, finally it should contain no irritants including sodium lauryl sulfate and other artificial additives.
